I am not a diarist.

I am a stream of consciousness. I forgot to exist; hope you don't mind. My mind loves that you don't know, and I wish I knew, too.

I'm a Weirdo, and I met Julian and Judith in the 1980s. It is one of my greatest regrets that I never got to smoke pot with Monsieur Beck. He was a hero to me. Julian died while I was working with Grotowski, and that added a lot to the work (as you might imagine).

What an inspiring project! I worked with the Living Theatre from 1978 to 1988 and filled many diaries during that time. My daughter Dora (27) read one of them and felt so inspired that she said she would love to make a movie around it and other peoples diary notes from that time as well. I always thought that these diaries might be good for something some day, helpful hopefully. I never imagined my own daughter would find them interesting. There you are.

The Diarist-project gives me a good reason to get started to type in some pages, and then... what?

Is this the place to post some of it?

I regret not being a diarist, despite owning numerous diaries bought with the best intentions; despite a natural inclination for sharing and an allergy toward shame.

The revolution has always been about protecting the environment. The Sixth Mass Extinction has a human cause, the subject of 2022's Capitalism in the Anthropocene, is accelerating, and a politically unacknowledged existential threat. We need a play that brings this suppression to a head and exposes the insanity of ignoring the problem, a play that informs, a play that asks, which side are you on?
